If G-d has granted you another day whatever you have done ,forgive yourself and do what you need to do to make things right and move on.You have not justified or made excuses for what you have done you have just built a bridge over it making sure you can go forward and do things differently.We all have the same 24 hours and doing nothing gives you what you always had until it gets worse as nothing remains stagnant.You can always take it higher you have G-D within you
