The Redeeming, Rejuvenating Power of Forgiveness
We are only a nation today because Joseph forgave his brothers and did not take revenge.Joseph understood that there was a bigger picture and bigger plan at play.
Joseph's forgiveness did not mean he excused what his brothers did, that is up to G-D , but his forgiveness allowed him and his brothers to move on and carry on building a nation that would change the world forever.
To forgive is never to excuse or let anyone get away with anything....to forgive is to allow life to proceed and never to deny the world the continuously better version of you, the resulting ripple effect of which may just change the world forever

The name Joseph,Yosef is connected to the word Lehosif (to add) as when you forgive the gates of growth open wider and G-D's blessings flow forth ,our potential , our uniqueness is released from the shackles of stagnation and gains the wings of elevation

"I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt! And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that G-d sent me ahead of you. For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will be no plowing and reaping. But G-d sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So then, it was not you who sent me here, but G-d.” (Gen. 45: 4-8)
