CHOOSE LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!-It is never too late

יט הַעִדֹתִי בָכֶם הַיּוֹם אֶת הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֶת הָאָרֶץ הַחַיִּים וְהַמָּוֶת נָתַתִּי לְפָנֶיךָ הַבְּרָכָה

וְהַקְּלָלָה וּבָחַרְתָּ בַּחַיִּים לְמַעַן תִּחְיֶה אַתָּה וְזַרְעֶךָ:

19.This day, I call upon the heaven and the earth as witnesses [that I have warned] you: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. You shall choose life, so that you and your offspring will live- Deuteronomy 30:19( translation: chabad.org)

In this verse we are told to choose life so that we and our offspring can live.Why?..if it is mentioned in the Torah, it means we should choose life as we were not created to choose death, we hallow life.
So why are we told to choose life here.?

There are numerous answers, I would like to suggest one possible answer

As it says above G-d has given us life,blessing and also death and curse and most of us would obviously want to live however the extra mention serves to teach us that we must hunger for life.
We must hunger to live
We must hunger to grow
We must hunger to give
We must hunger to be grateful etc etc
As only when we grab on to life, no matter our circumstances, and put our best into it without excuses, when we open our hearts to all G-d can offer us in life and then will we truly feel alive
If we feel detached , distant we are not going to get much out of life
If we hunger to take our lives seriously and not casually then whatever situation we are in, whatever pain we might feel we will not be casualties of our lives but true champions

As a life of impact ,significance and contribution is never because of what you have or what situation you are in but rather how you choose to deal with it, how you bounce back and who you become , what version of yourself you choose to gift the world with.
