Your Daily Dose Of Heaven

The fast of the 10th of Tevet which commemorates when the armies of the Babylonian emperor Nebuchadnezzar laid siege to Jerusalem. Thirty months later—on 9 Tammuz 3338—the city walls were breached, and on 9 Av of that year ,the First Holy Temple , The Beit Hamikdash was destroyed. The Jewish people were exiled to Babylonia for 70 years.

I would like to address a deeper level here which impacts us at a cellular level and in all area of our lives,physical and spiritual.
The Temple was the focus of Jewish life, Jewish Spiritual life in the holiest of lands,Israel.Our nation would travel on,among others Pesach ,Shavuot and Succot to the Beit Hamikdash.These Regalim ," festivals" were not isolated from each other,Pesach, our birth as a nation gaining the true freedom that is serving G-D as our limitless, Divinely created selves.Shavuot is when we received the Torah ,our Divine guide for a Divine life to elevate ourselves and the world along with us. Succot , a time of Simcha,meaningful joy,inculcating that all is fleeting but our permanent abode is in G-d's loving embrace,what unbelievable joy that is!!!!!

So throughout the year our focus is maintained,Pesach, we realize who we are,what being a free nation means,we learn with gratitude ,understanding that the Creator,Maintainer of all that was is or ever will be freed us and serving"Him" is the ultimate freedom and the ultimate form of self expression.From Pesach..connecting ourselves to Shavuot we work at climbing the Divine 49 rung ladder of the days of Sefirat HaOmer leading up to us being worthy of receiving on Shavuot,the Torah ,our Divine guide keeping us aligned with our Divine Design.Then on the right path we get to Rosh Hashana , Yom Kippur and then Succot where we immerse ourselves in the joyous knowledge that through the Judgement, through our efforts during the year ,whatever happens, G-D loves us, never abandons us,showers us daily with a constant flow of blessings and miracles whose Divine value endures beyond any fleeting possessions ,endeavors etc.

This meaningfully joyful focus has kept our lives in focus , our souls alive so vibrantly connected to True Meaning, True Holiness, True Fulfillment, The only Reality that is G-D.But then we lost our focus and we were besieged by influences,ways of thinking ,fears etc that threatened to break through the walls, the borders that we had worked so hard on to keep our focus on maintaining the enduring freedom that G-D gave us to live our greatest lives , individually and nationally.The siege intensified and we did not stand our ground, we refused to recognize the cracks, where we were truly falling, and so eventually our walls were breached.Even with G-D banging on the walls of our hearts we denied ourselves the resilience, fortitude ,Hakarat Hatova( gratitude) and hope that G-D fills us with daily to keep our hearts open. Then our hearts were breached ,the Temple was destroyed and stone filled our hearts until the excruciating challenges of exile started to chip away at the stone allowing G-D back in and so we returned, sadly for only a short while to be exiled later yet again for losing our focus .

We all have the potential to be a" Mikdash M'at" a small Temple where G-D can reside within us all.By slowly realigning our Divine Design, appreciating in our thoughts ,words , actions etc ,guided by the Torah ,of our majestic uniqueness ,our Eternal value, our Eternal worth as "Bnei Melech",children of Avinu Malkeinu, Our Father Our King we will surely become that " Mikdash M'at" where G-D can comfortably reside and as realign our focus. Individually and nationally our collective light will shine bright guiding us Home to Israel where our light truly shines and we will be a true "Or LaGoyim , Light unto the nations , first having been a light unto ourselves ,appreciating how we can shine and embodying the verse וְעָשׂוּ לִי מִקְדָּשׁ וְשָׁכַנְתִּי בְּתוֹכָם ,make for me a temple and I will reside in "them "..."them" being you and me, the small temples whose collective light will pave the way for our Third and Final Temple...speedily in our days..Amen
