Shalom-one of Hashems(G-DS) names
Life is complex FOR those who believe in Hashem(G-D) and for those who do not but for those who believe in Hashem(G-D) there are some simple truths.One of them being if G-D decrees something then no matter how difficult, we can do it, we can achieve, if we are not doing so then we have to keep reevaluating and praying and until G-D decrees that our efforts bear fruit.We have been divinely enjoined to strive for and achieve unity so much so that one of G-D'S names is Shalom (peace) so no more excuses lets do what we can in our lives in all that we do,say,act , react etc to promote unity.Only unified will we be truly strong.Unity does not mean compromising on your beliefs or even agreeing with people, it means seeing the person and not the label ,expressing your views in a considerate respectful manner and showing that unity is so important you will never give up.Hashem(G-D) never gives up on us so let us never give up on each other and most importantly let us never give up on Hashem(G-D)
So when we strive for and eventually achieve Shalom we are revealing G-DS presence in the world for Shalom is the portal through which G-DS blessings flow

As we are told in the Talmud"there is no vessel that holds blessing but Shalom"

Jesse Beckow: "When H' saw all the blessings He had stored up for Israel, He saw he did not have a big enough keili (vessel) to contain them all. So He created one called Shalom." (outside quotation). Shabbos is also a name of G-d, so Shabbat Shalom is 2 names of G-d in one - a double blessing. Chazal said we should greet each other with G-d's name, hence Shalom Aleichem. It goes beyond "hi, how are you," or peace be upon you. It means "May H' rest His presence on you," in this context.
